In a way, November is one of those filler months, sandwiched between October’s snappy ghoulish ending and December’s holiday theme.

I think I might take some inspiration from all this Harold Camping nonsense after all and live tomorrow as if it were my last day, cherish the lilacs, cuddle longer in the morning with my daughters, tell my girlfriends how much I love them, listen to great music all day long, dance in the kitchen, neck with my guy, eat pasta... I challenge you to do the same. Maybe we could even make a Friday habit out of it!
Anyway, talk to you (for sure) next Thursday but, in the meantime (and this one definitely isn't for the kiddies), the juke box plays / apocalyptic bebop...
Oh yeah, and the tipsheet...
Check out Christina's best picks for the weekend...
The girls and I had a real treat on Tuesday night when we headed over to the Roundhouse to see the latest Mirvish production, The Railway Children. Based on the beloved children's book by E. Nesbitt, The Railway Children isn't strictly speaking a children's play. I was forewarned that it might be too mature for my six year old but, as it turned out, she was delighted.
Okay ladies and gentlemen, the long weekend is upon us...
Having eaten your sister-in-law's evil-in-a-good-way Easter Cream Egg cupcakes, fished your winter coat back out of the basement, thoughtfully attempted natural egg dying, celebrated Mother Earth and plucked at least one wailing child from the rugby-like scrum that is the annual neighbourhood Egg Scramble, you'll probably want a little down time. If that includes logging into Facebook, would you consider giving us a like ? I'm pretty chuffed that 51 people like us, but maybe we could shoot a little higher, say 75 or even a 100? And, if you'll consider giving us a like, I promise not to put that Human League song into your head. (Except it's already there, isn't it - sorry.)
And if you're up at 8am tomorrow (oh, yeah... you're a parent – of course you'll be up) tune into to CP24 and watch me quake like a bunny on live tv for the first time.
Happy Easter, Happy Earth Day, just plain happy – Vicki
