The Monkey Bunch continues the 2nd Annual Family Series at the Drake this Sunday.
Totsapalooza – Mouse City is at the Gladstone on the 26th
I was barely three months pregnant with my second daughter when The Little Paper launched in December 2003. Pip made her cover debut in my very big belly for the May 2004 Mother’s Day issue and now she’s gracing it again. Many people, a lot of them mothers, have been a big part of these 50 issues and I want to thank them all so very
much. Most particularly though, I would like to thank our readers – moms and dads who have inspired us and sought us out and made us a part of their parenting.
One of our readers is hosting the Green Mom Spring Show and Sale at the CNIB Centre on May 31st and The Little Paper is proud to sponsor their children’s play area. It is going to be a wonderful showcase of earth-friendly family products and services with healthy organic food, babysitting and workshops. I hope we’ll see you there. Another of our readers, and his band, are launching their children’s CD this month. We got a sneak listen to Snacktime and are particular fans of track 6 and 14. A third reader has us down to the Brick Works in April to help spring clean Evergreen’s amazing environmental discovery centre – we’re the children’s media sponsor for The Brick Works and couldn’t be more chuffed about supporting them.
And a mother who isn’t really a reader is taking care of my girls today, because I’ve had the flu and she’s my mom and that’s what moms do for their kids – even when we’re all grown up and have children of our own. It’s a forever thing, this motherhood business, and I want to thank her and send her my love with this issue and to let her know that I get it and I’m immeasurably grateful. And I just need a couple more hours....
