The Monkey Bunch continues the 2nd Annual Family Series at the Drake this Sunday.
Totsapalooza – Mouse City is at the Gladstone on the 26th
I like November. I like how it sits in between the onset of autumn and the mad rush of the holidays. I like umbrellas and puddles and bare-limbed black branches. I like that my daughter was born in November. She’ll be eight this year and that means she will be officially disqualified from the cover of The Little Paper. Lily was on the first ever cover of the paper four years and eleven months ago and she’s graced five of them since then. I imagine you’ve all had just about enough of her, but I feel a little bittersweet about it.
Meanwhile, there’s a lot going on... November marks the launch of our Holiday Guide on page 4. Christina has tracked down so many Santa visits, holiday shows and festivals, craft fairs, camps and first lighting ceremonies that we needed to make a whole section for it! We’ve also launched our Shop the Street section on page 12 of the guide, highlighting local merchants and encouraging you, in our usual heavy-handed way, to shop locally and support your neighbourhood retailers. We are sponsoring TINARS for Tots on Saturday, November 15th at the Gladstone Hotel again this month and are really chuffed to be the media sponsor for the Bata Shoe Museum’s Warm the Sole sock drive.
Oh, and don’t forget to enter our contest to win a pair of ticket’s to Ross Petty’s Cinderella on page 40 this month. If you do, we’ll send you the first copy of the new Little Paper Parents newsletter. We’re launching it in December in celebration of our 5th birthday and would love to put you on the list! Have a great month! – Vicki
