The Little Paper is very proud to partner with Harbourfront Centre this spring for Junior, a new international children’s festival that brings together leading contemporary artists to challenge and animate young minds.

Acclaimed productions from as far away as Australia and Norway to as near as Québec and the Mohawk Nation of Kanawake are the perfect opportunity for young people (and the big people who love them too) to explore identity, growth, belonging and transformation.

There will be entertainment and excitement for the whole family throughout the long weekend with ticketed shows as well as free performances of dance, music, storytelling and more!

Saturday, Sunday and Monday

The free, all ages Opening Ceremony at 10:30 on Saturday celebrates First Nations culture with traditional blessings, dance by Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, local children’s choirs and more.

All weekend long, there will be free concerts with Fred Penner at 11am and Monkey Bunch at 2pm

At 12:30 and 4:30 each day, families will thrill to performances of Le Premier Spectacle with Les Parfaits Inconnus – a rambunctious circus troupe and electrifying musical band and on Sunday only, Twin Flames will take the stage at 3pm.

Fay and Fluffy will be onsite for Storytime at 1 and 3pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and you can go on an interactive singing adventure with Why We Are Here at 2pm each day.
On Monday only, experience traditional Québécois dance with La Gigue en Souveni!

Ticketed shows throughout the weekend include The Medicine Wheel, The Unauthorised Biography Series, Suites Curieuses , The Jury,  Child of the Divide and New Owner.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

This one of a kind festival for children and youth is at the top of our list for the long weekend and continues throughout th eweek with daytime performances of acclaimed, entertaining and important performances:
