WeeFestival Family Day

The count down to the WeeFestival of Theatre and Culture for Early Years has begun, and we’re excited to announce a special event for children and families! Join us for a special morning filled with dance, storytelling, music, crafts, healthy eats & treats, and a sneak peek at the WeeFestival 2018 edition… There’s something for everyone!
Children and their grownups can stay and play until it’s time to go home and nap!
This is a fundraising event, families are invited to donate on top of their $10 donation for admission when they reserve their tickets online.

9:30am | Mabouya Dance Company
Welcome the morning with Bélé dancing from Dominica featuring performers: Allidia Aubrey, Kenisha Louis, Yinka Bannis and Registe Ambrose
10:15am & 12:15pm | Musical Merry Making with Sophia Perlman and Terra Dawn Hazelton.
11am – 12pm | Stories in the Wonder Garden
Cozy up together in the peaceful setting of Andy Miller’s garden inspired by the WeeFestival artwork by Kinnon Elliott.
11am – 12pm | Firefly Theatre – The stories of kindergarten students from Humewood, Hillcrest, and The Grove are brought to life by actors and live music.
1pm | Traditional Indigenous Dance
Leslie McCue from Curve Lake First Nation and Lindy Kinoshameg from Wikwemikong First Nation will be coming to the WeeFestival Family Day to share their Indigenous dance styles and songs with you!
Arts & Crafts Centre Create Wee Wonders together with help from artist Meredith Wolting
