My Child, My City: March 2010 Central Toronto

Carla with her daughter Ella, 6 years old and her son Ewan, 6 months old on their way to pick up Keira, 3 years old

Carla picks up her paper at the Leaside library. The first thing they check out is My Neighbourhood for the local events. Ella and Keira are busy in school and they take swimming lessons at Bloorview, gymnastics at Children’s Fitness Centres of Canada and playdates as often as they can! In the summer they also participate in the Leaside Soccer Club. Carla and the kids love Bayview and often stop at shops, bakeries and restaurants.

The girls' favourites are Cobbs Bread store, Highway 61 Restaurant and of course, Hollywood Gelato. They really enjoy playing at the different parks and playgrounds in this area and visiting the library. On the weekends, they like to go to the St. Lawrence Market.

What will your family do during the March Break? “Every day feels like March Break. We actually enjoy staying in the city and taking in the attractions here during holidays when others flee the city!”

How did you find out about the Little Paper? “…simply by picking it up at a community center one day.”
