Karen picks up her copy of The Little Paper at Diaper-eez or Morningside High Park Church. She and her son are very busy most days with classes at Sportplay, making art during the open studio time at a local art studio and attending the Ontario Early Years Centre drop-in on Dundas. Pat is Italian and Karen is English, so their family traditions combine their two cultures. When their son came along his family started a tradition of attending the Santa Claus Parade. Karen says that the holidays for her family are a time for “being with family and friends, going to church and passing on traditions” to her son. In addition to visits with Santa, Christmas decorations and all the lights, he likes that his birthday happens to be in December and he gets a preview of holiday cheer with a great birthday party! Karen and her son like the Special Events section of the paper best. They rely on it to find out about festivals and unique happenings around the city.
